events

On September 17 and 18, 2024, Austria's largest and most important cybersecurity event will once again take place at the Congress Center Messe Wien.

Conference audience

As has been the case since the first conference in 2012, SEC Consult will once again be represented at this year's ICT Security Conference, presenting its expertise not only as an exhibitor but also in a lecture on the topic of incident management.

Stephan Mikiss, Head of Managed Security Services Austria Eviden & Head of SEC Defense SEC Consult, will speak on the first day of the conference in a lunch session on "Increased Awareness, Requests for Information and Reporting Obligations: Incident Management in Transition", outlining the latest developments around the handling of cyber security incidents and the changing expectations of different stakeholders for information and information flows during a cyber crisis.

"The conference is an annual fixture for us, as it brings together all of Austria's cybersecurity players and brings together a wide range of topics and problems from different perspectives. We can talk about the entire range of observed intrusion vectors and threat scenarios, but also discuss the further development of strategies and technologies that support us in the fight against cybercrime and exchange exciting new ideas for protecting companies and the population."

Program highlights

The topics range from the latest EU directives and measures such as NIS2 and DORA, artificial intelligence as a threat and as a tool to protect against threats, to ransomware and the "classic" DDOS, state actors as attackers, the security of global IT supply chains and much more.
Of course, the finale of the Austrian Cyber Security Challenge on the second day of the conference, September 18, is not to be missed. Here, too, SEC Consult has been a sponsor for years, not only calling for the important work of young talent, but also actively helping in the search for young cybersecurity professionals. Under the motto "Forbidden good", the finalists will hack their way through the challenging tasks in three classes (pupils, students and open class) from 08:00.

Visit us on September 17 and 18 at the ICT Security Conference 2024 at booth no. 42 in the Congress Center Messe Wien. We look forward to stimulating discussions and interesting new insights into the "forbidden good" world of cybersecurity!
